Cabin Fever News

I hope everyone is doing well. It does not seem like we have been here for over 6 months now. How time flies meeting such wonderful people.

For those of you that do not know, we have been renovating the cabins. We have 2 to go before we are finished. It has been a very busy winter (or what ever this season is with no snow).  Here are a few of the upgrades:

Ma and Pa’s still sleeps the same number of people.

South Fork has a King and 2 full beds now

Good Times has a King and 1 full and 1 twin and a sleeper sofa

Summer Breezz has 3 fulls and a twin

Birds Nest has a King and a sleeper sofa

All of the floors have been redone, we have some new mattresses, the cabins all have new bedding, some have new curtains, we also have some new (& refurbished) furniture, new decor to theme the cabins, and some new lights.

We are excited about your return visits and to hear your thoughts on our changes.

We would like to plan a music weekend with some participation of our more talented guests. The idea came from this New Year’s Eve, the Weather’s family brought their guitar and amp and provided us with a great evening of campfire entertainment. We all had a wonderful night. So if you and your friends have musical talent send us a email. We will schedule a weekend for music by the campfire, and we will provide the hotdogs and fixings. If you are interested let us know we will email you the dates and put together a wonderful weekend .We know there are a lot of talented guests out there. [email protected]

We have had a lot of people ask about us doing a children’s weekend. We would like to have a cookout, games and campfire stories. Please email or call if interested and we will email you the dates of our first children’s weekend.

Starting April 1st through November 1st we will be having a you tube contest. The best Cabin Fever video will win a free winter 2 day weekend getaway. Valid from January to March. Submit your video to [email protected] we will submit the best ones to you tube for you.

Easter is April 8, 2012. If you have little ones out for the week and need to get the family away for a few days. We still have some space. But hurry they won’t last long.

Property Changes  

Our water wheel is up and going.

We also have water flowing up in front of High Top again. It sounds so good from the porch.                       

While we were working ,we also found two natural springs feeding a small waterfall on the property ,”Fever Falls”. We opened a trail for the more adventuresome and athletic guests. It can also be seen from High Top. What a find that was!

We also found and cleaned out the Spring feeding the pond. The pond is now full of water again and stocked with brim , bass, & catfish. We hope they grow fast for the kids to catch and release.
