We have had a very busy fall season. The leaves were beautiful as always. Sorry we had to turn so many of you away.  Please make sure you book holiday stays early to get the cabin you want and make sure you dont miss out on our live entertainment.

  Cabin Fever would like to welcome Justin Broms back on New Years Eve. He was a great hit in July, and we are excited  to have him back.

We will be hosting a wedding on the grounds in a few weeks. Anyone interested in getting married here please contact us to make arrangements. We can help with your plans or point you in the right direction.

Home School Families

If your home school co-op is interested in renting out all of the cabins during the week for 3 to 5 nights please give us a call or e-mail me at [email protected]. We are working on putting together a special package for your group and arranging learning activities for the children.

There are lots of exciting plans for the upcoming year. We hope you all have enjoyed the improvements already made.

2012 Saluda Hometown Christmas™2012 Saluda Hometown Christmas will be December 14, 6pm to 8pmSponsored by the Saluda Business Association, Open House and Music on Main St., Greenville St., and Across the Bridge.City of Saluda’s Christmas Parade sponsored by the City of Saluda and townspeople -December 15, 3pm to 5pm

Due to overwhelming response from last year, another Christmas Parade will be held in Saluda on Saturday, December 15th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The parade is limited to the first 50 applicants so get your application in early. The due date is October 15. Applications can be found at Historic Thompson’s Store, Somewhere in Time or click here to download (PDF application). Floats will be judged and awards will be given for: Most Unique, Best Christmas Spirit, Most Humorous. The parade will feature floats, Santa, bands, fire engines, dogs (and their owners), plus lots of fun for family and friends.

Ward’s Grill Serving  Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:00 | Saturday 6:30 to 3:00In the late 1950s Roy Ward and his eldest son, Jack, convinced Lola Thompson Ward to add the grill to Thompson’s Store.  Since that time many a homemade sausage biscuit and chili cheeseburger have been served to the residents and visitors of Saluda.  For many years, the grill has been the town’s central gathering place for locals and tourists alike.  The friendliness is legendary while the warmth and camaraderie makes even the first-time visit a memorable occasion.Entering Ward’s Grill is like taking a step back in time. The authentic atmosphere conveys a feeling of true 1950s charm, and our delicious foods get excellent reviews from customers on a regular basis.

Some of our more popular, unique items include homemade cornbread salad and potato salad, chicken salad and tuna salad, and coleslaw.  The CJ Burger is a legendary combination of ground beef and Charlie’s sage-flavored sausage.  For dessert, be sure to try our spoon-thick handspun milkshakes and a delicious variety of seasonal cobblers, pies, and cakes.
