See why so many families, couples and groups love Cabin Fever
This was our 2nd time staying in High Top! We have also stayed at Ma and Pas, South Fork, Buzzard Roost and Birds Nest. We love Cabin Fever because it is always so relaxing. We came from Vero Beach, FL, so coming up here is always a nice change of scenery. As always, Cabin Fever has provided the perfect atmosphere for us to bond as a family and grow closer together. Positive memories will always be linked to Cabin Fever and we hope others love this place as much as we do.

We came back to Ma and Pa’s after three years. Oh, the memories at this place! One son, daughter-in-law and two grand kids made the trip with us. Wonderful time! Thank you.

We arrived to find plenty of snow on the ground. Soooo exciting! We threw snowballs at each other and attempted to build a snow man. We walked, took amazing pictures, and thoroughly enjoyed the snow. Eric had a cozy fire going in stove when we checked in so the cabin was toasty warm. We love the cabin. What a wonderful day! On Wendesday, we went into Hendersonville and shopped and had amazing dinner out. Today, had a great breakfast at Wards in Downtown Saluda. A wonderful 3 days! PS Ted rode the zipline 3 times- not bad for a 75 year old guy!

As a first time visitor, and first experience spending the holidays with my boyfriend’s family, Good Times presented the most magical memories. Thank You for creating and having space for all tho enjoy. The playground and zipline were so great for the (adult) kids and the little ones! Playing games at the kitchen table, cooking and doing dishes together, s’mores by the fire, and hammocking on the porch were some of my favorites. Then the magical rain on the tin roof gave us a zen-like last sleep to send us off.

Such a beautiful quiet plave to reconnect with family and nature. We first went to Pearson’s Falls, later we stepped our way up to the very top of Chimney Rock. We also went to Sky Top Orchard (make sure to get the apple donuts and get some to bring home, too). We spent endless hours on the zipline and even roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Beds were so comfortable and the cabin sleeps so good. The water is hot and feels great after a day of hiking! **Favorite part of vacation: seeing my children (ages 9 and 5) playing with each other outside instead of being on the “gadgets.”

First time in NC; this is where we came for our honeymoon and it was the best choice by far! We went to Asheville outlets, then to Pearson’s Falls, Downtown Saluda, and did a candlelight tour and rooftop tour of the Biltmore. We finished the trip by driving the Blue Ridge Parkway- breathtaking views of God’s creation! We couldn’t imagine having gone anywhere else for out honeymoon. Bird’s Nest is definitely a great place to stay and we will be back!

We so enjoyed the Birds Nest. So glad we “landed” here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed popping over to Hendersonville and into Saluda. Marvelled at Pearson’s Falls and Jump Off Rock. Did a bit of shopping too! Hate we have to “fly the coop” tomorrow… Hope to return.

We loved our stay in this cozy little cabin. Wish we had more time to enjoy the cold winter and the warm buck stove!

We are so happy we found Cabin Fever and were able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of North Carolina for the beginning of 2017. We arrived at Buzzards Roost on the 30th, and the following day went skiing about an hour away. In the days that followed, we hiked up to the swing (take the trail behind High Top), explored the old town of Saluda, and hopped over rocks to cross the stream on our way to the nearby waterfall. We also enjoyed playing checkers on the porch, late night games of Apples to apples and charades, and warming up with cocoa and tea by the buck stove. This was a lovely getaway from the humid Florida heat back home!
Raimo and Nina K (and family), visiting over New Years 2017
It was a rainy weekend but nothing like a tin roof to put the little ones to sleep. They have never napped so easily. We loved the town of Saluda and all the little shops and restaurants. It was great to hang out as a family in close quarters. We would absolutely do it again.

The rest, relaxation and de-stressing were what we were sorely in need of. Your facilities and land couldn’t have been more perfect. We had so much fun on the zipline– just ask Bob! Thanks again for the experience of a simpler life, even if just for a few days. Everyone should do this and get away from the crazy life for a bit. God sure does make this place in the world special! As do you!

We had a wonderful time here. It is a beautiful place and perfect for just the two of us. We really enjoyed ziplining, white water rafting, and the waterfall you recommended. We definitely plan to be back.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We came here with our daughter and two grandchildren. We enjoyed the cabin and grounds and exploring the area. Your playground and zipline have been especially enjoyable and quite a hit. We visited apple orchards, historic downtown Hendersonville, and Dupont State Forest. Thanks for the memories!
-Skipper family from Ozark, MO (October 2016)
The Birds Nest was a perfect perch for a weekend of relaxation and introspection! We wandered out only to watch the meteor shower and tube down the river, otherwise cloistered inside reading good books and talking for hours on the porch. I am rested and rejuvenated.

We had such a lovely stay here at Buzzards Roost. I must say, my favorite part of the cabin was the sweet little kitchen! It really was a nice quiet getaway from the noise and traffic of Charleston. Thank you for the hospitality!

This cabin is really cool! Me and my two sisters, my mom my dad, and my grandma had a great time here. We kayaked, ziplined, and went gemstone mining! We even played in the stream in front of the cabin and had a cook out. Can’t wait to come back!

These 3 days were the best days of the year so far. The zipline and nearby swimming holes were the best. I loved playing manhunt at night and having s’mores after. I would love to come here again. This is a really nice place to go hangout with the family.

My husband and I came back to Cabin Fever to just “get away” for a few days. Our dog loved the open space to explore. Billy and I had a relaxing time rocking on the front porch and visiting with Eric and Dana. You can certainly tell how much they love Cabin Fever and the make you feel so comfortable. We will be back, thank you Cabin Fever!

We spent our 30th anniversary at Cabin Fever in Good Times cabin and we also spent our 1st anniversary in the same cabin. It gives us a special feeling that we spent our 30th in a place with love and relaxation. We had an opportunity to visit all the great restaurants and shops in town. The people were so welcoming and friendly. We also went to Mt Mitchell and Mt Pisgah and the Biltmore Estate, as we did 30 years ago. We’ve had a great 30 years and hope to spend many more at this wonderful cabin. Thank you Eric & Dana for your wonderful service.

We drove down here from Pennsylvania for a quick weekend to meet with a log home builder who is going to build our house in PA. We decided to stay here with our dog instead of a hotel and we are very very happy that we chose to stay here. We got some ideas for our log home and enjoyed our weekend as well. This is a beautiful mountain setting & nice, cozy cabins. We loved hearing the sounds of the woods at night and I enjoyed jogging around the country roads. A lot of work goes into keeping this place running and the caretakers do an amazing job. Thank you so much for your hospitality! It is really hard to leave here, I wish I could stay for a year!

We met for a sister’s weekend here. It was a great way to unwind and enjoy each other. The grounds are very inviting and welcoming. We’ll be back!

We loved staying here! It felt very laid back and homey. We very much enjoyed having the water nearby, we even left our window cracked so we could listen to it while we fell asleep. We plan on staying here again the next time we visit Biltmore.

We absolutely loved the cabin atmosphere. Kids loved the playground & zipline, hiking and the rope trail to the swing… This sure beat a hotel anytime, and all these surrounding towns are amazingly beautiful. Thanks Cabin Fever!
P.S. The kids loved Remington the dog and Smokey the cat

Me and my family stayed here over Christmas holiday and can I say we Loved… Loved… Loved… IT…Our cabin was so cute and warm and inviting and had exactly the rustic feel we wanted. .The caretakers were super friendly and very helpful with everything from our check-in to places to eat, shop and just explore. We highly recommend a trip and stay at Cabin Fever. We will be visiting on a regular basis for some serious relaxing and fun.

My wife and I just got married at Cabin Fever and we could not have asked for a better location!!! The grounds are beautiful and there is so much to do built in. Dana and Eric were VERY accommodating. They were there for us every step of the way during wedding planning and during our special weekend they went above and beyond to be available for us and our guests. We rented all of the cabins, which gave us the whole grounds to celebrate the weekend away and to catch up with all of our loved ones. I would highly recommend this for a little getaway or for any event that you want to have the beautiful outdoors be a part of, while maintaining the comfort and coziness of cabin life. Thank you Cabin Fever!!!

My family travels to Cabin Fever to get back to nature and detox from concrete. We love to camp but my mom can no longer camp due to her health so this is the closest we can get for 3 generations to enjoy with each other. Rustic and fabulous with terrific innkeepers. Oh and the playground is wonderful, and the beds comfy.

If you want the Ritz Carleton, don’t stay here. If you want a nice simple cabin in secluded forest with amazing caretakers, STAY HERE! Family and I were here for 5 days and had a peaceful stay. Close to Saluda and Green River Adventures. Nearby grocery store and civilization but very secluded. Caretakers are super knowledgeable about area and give you wonderful trip ideas. Price is very fair. We will definitely be back next year!
-Mark P. from Ft Lauderdale, FL (visited in July 2016)
We stayed in the Ma&Pa house and it was amazing! Did it spur of the moment and we loved the quiet! Going back this year again & can’t wait! We were so close to everything yet far enough away that you thought you were in the middle of the forest!
-Mary D. from NY (visited June 2016)
My wife & I spent 2 amazing nights here in the cabin called High Top. It was secluded, peaceful, quiet, and just what the doctor ordered! The cabin was rustic and homey, the perfect combination of rural and modern convenience. We are big birders and we had a bunch to hear & see. We built a fire in the fire pit and thoroughly relaxed. We will definitely be coming back to this incredible place!

Second year in a row at Good Times cabin. The place is just awesome as always!
We spent a week in Ma & Pa’s Cabin and it was delightful! Other family members joined us for a few days and we had the best vacation ever! Dana & Eric are wonderful hosts and we plan to come back next year and rent two cabins, that’s how much we enjoyed it! Unfortunately we just missed coon dog days but we’ll be there for it next year!

Eric and Dana were outstanding hosts! We had our first annual cousins trip in 2016 and we’ve already booked for 2017. All of our families talk about Cabin Fever all the time. The zipline is the highlight for the kids. The freedom they have around Cabin Fever is great!
